dekker
If there was a problem, BW would have to answer for it. It's yer Helf&safety. I witnessed new bollards being installed on the T & M yesterday. 3 men, all brand new hi vis tops and bottoms, 3 shovels, 2 wheel barrows, 2 trucks, head foot and ear protectors . One man reckoned each bollard cost over £1000. £3000 per lock wasted as no body will use them but maybe fall over them Is there anything we can do to stop this gross waste of our money? Fitted on wrong side as well. Dekker
Nightwatch
It has been said that the Southern Oxford have had additional bollards installed during the last year. I have to say they "do" get used. I saw a user of a hire boat go into a lock to desend and promptly, with help from crew tied the bow, stern "AND" centre rope to the three bollards. I would have taken a photo but forgot as I just couldn't belive what I was seeing. I looked to see if it was a windup but saw no evidence.
