I have seen the above stoppage notice lasting a month. The planned date of 2nd January 2019 seems very near to the xmas and new year break. Does anybody know if I can find out if his stoppage may start a little later so I can get through? TIA

That is a shame the first night has been free for as long as I can remember. A sign of the times I suppose.

It used to be free until the council saw as an income stream as they all do now. Are you not supposed to pay it at the boat in the basin? I know people will dodge paying if no one comes round.

You can but you will still have to pay a mooring fee I think

When it is open do they ever have volockies on the flight?

we are planning to ascend the flight one day next week. Was it all ok if you did it recently? Where would you suggest a safe mooring for the night before. Thanks in advance

Hi can anyone offer advice about taking the paint back to bare metal with a "Rotivator type machine." I have been told that some boatyards do it this way. Any useful comments would be appreciated. Looking for a good pain job in the midlands. Thanks Dekker

Planning to revisit the Nene in July. Not been for a few years so would like to know of any changes or issues since 5 years ago. I know there is a new marina in Northampton. Last time we met a boater who had a little handle adaptor for the non electric locks so I would like to know how to acquire or make a similar aid. Regards Dekker
