Louvre window seals between glass panes?

Featured Posts

Welcome to the forum. My understanding is that there were never any seals between the overlapping louvres. Certainly never remember any from when this window style was common. Not to say that you couldn't fit something to reduce the draughts.

I think ordinary self-adhesive draft proofing foam tape would do the job, but don't buy any that is too thick. I think you could get some from the likes of B&M/Home Bargains cheaply for a trial, but it would be likely to degrade in sunlight, so if it worked then maybe something from Seals Plus would be more long-lasting.

The windows that were fitted on a fernie were Louvre and were designed like that to be part of the cabin ventilation

Similarly on the early Black Prince hire boats.
