But how does the thrust compare to the original. Has this been scaled down as well along with the rudder to get the handling right

The instructor did reckon that reaction time for things to happen is speed up five times over the real thing. So if on the real thing you are going to crash in to the bank of the Suez one minute from now, on the model you've got 12s to do something about it. It all seemed very like steering a NB in feel watching the vid.
