That's a bit gloomy, but I can see where you are coming from.

Cue  Chopin's Funeral March.😢

That makes no sense at all.

Whilst the wording could have been a tad clearer if you think "that makes no sense" then you are part of the problem although you are not alone. I gave up the canals two years ago as I could see then the possible way things were going.

Really, what we do not need is the ramblings or incoherent mumblings, of more CRT bashing....  without any real fact... I'd say you are the problem.  Plenty of complaining, but no ownership of anything, just a get up and walk away attitude.

During our latest "adventure" I was thinking that before long travelling the the canal network will be like trying to travel the country using preserved railway lines - lots of lovely sections but none joined up due to neglect. Apart from the lock at Stoke Bruene, there were several others which frankly were awful and that is just on the Grand Union. Before it was repaired / bodged, lock 13 at Whilton was a health hazard but at least it has been fixed for the time being.

What price can you put on the company and the people you meet on the waterways, going through locks, sharing experiences and knowledge, socialising and so forth. It is not just money but the mental health, the physical well being and the sheer pleasure of being close to nature.

Its Scaremongering propaganda just to get people talking about it because other people don't want us to be free in our own country and the canals is one of the few ways left to be able to sustainably live off grid and off government owned land.

Don't listen to it,

Don't mention it,

Don't believe in it.

Dont support it, and it will never come true.

I dont know why people choose their own destiny like this, tricked by media to talk negatively together about something thats not actually going to happen yet if at all, they don't want to happen, then it happens...

Leave it. Resist temptation to be weak and don't discuss clear propaganda and it won't work, just dont be dumb people, did you not learn anything from brexit?

You: In what way is living on a canal boat "sustainable'"?

seems like your the one whos "smoking something" mate I never even said living on a canal boat is "sustainable", I mentioned the word in a completely different context unrelated to living on a canal boat.

it's OK your wrong, have a good night or keep trolling and being sad.

I like being a pillock. I put a lot of effort into being a better pillock.

What's your reason?

Ah, now I understand what you mean.

You actually meant that living on the canal (presumably on the bank rather than in the water) is sustainable.
