XLD
My friend's android tells him how many gigabytes he's used everytime he turns his mobile on. Mine doesn't. Any idea how I can get the same display up when I turn mine on?
Jen-in-Wellies
Assuming you are interested in gigabytes of mobile data used, this will most likely be an app from your friends mobile phone maker, or from the network provider, Three, Vodaphone, EE etc. On mine, I would go to the Three web site and a link from there in a browser to find mobile data used since the last bill, though there is a Three app, which is probably more direct, but I don't have installed. It is unlikely to be part of the core Android operating system. I have an old version of Android, so things may have changed. Peanut
Try this. Navigate to, “settings,” then, “connections,” then, “data usage.” Your usage should be shown from the date given. Android version 9, “Pie."

That's they way I've done it on all of my Android phones.
Quattrodave
Exactly the same as above: Android 11 One UI 3.1 > Settings > Connections > Data Usage.

Rob-M
In the data usage you can also set warning and limit so you get a warning message at a certain level of usage and a maximum so that data automatically turns off when you hit the limit.
