I know them as Surface Slide Bolts, used to secure slim cabinet doors. They are still available from:-

Mable? Bolter?

Are they drop back windows?  Is there a hole in the glass? Or two?

Drop back - I guess, yes. No hole in the glass, they're just glued on, and the slider fits into a recess in the window fitting. Very low profile - 5mm.

Glued on? They don't sound very secure.

The old Austin A30 /35 used to have drop down windows with a little rectangle of glass glued on to raise and lower it. Used to stay on OK. That was before the days of girly things like window winders.

Is that the same as 'Naked Attraction'? (That's the TV programme I've never watched)

Similar, but much more intimate.  Right down to atomic level.

Well you ain't gonna unglue it from the outside or push the glass past it without breaking the window - and at that point it doesn't matter how secure the bolt was!
