If I type "galvanic transformer" into the search box on my phone, it is the first hit.

It shows up on 3rd page if you search 'Victron' (both body and title) and sort by relevancy...

Why should I accept that, when it has worked perfectly well for me? I rarely use it, but on this occasion it showed ne exactly what I wanted, straight away.

What can I tell you? I just tried again and immediately found the topic, which started on January 1st this year. I searched under "Topics", because it is one. Did you try that?

That would suggest that your searching 'thread titles' rather than content.

Alter your search restrictions.

 

It does suggest searching for the 'phrase' Galvanic Transformer.

Exactly I was just searching for the title and it should come up as that is the thread title.

Here is the shot if I search globally for galvanic transformer, that thread is not on the first few pages.

you need to show us your search filters... click on '+more search options' and give us the screenshot... there is little reason for search functionality to act differently on your mobile

Yes I have it selected, I have also tried by author, thread title, and others it just didn't want me to see it. Still I have it now and it wasn't as profound as I remember.

I am still not seeing the relevant thread when I search no matter what parameters are set or not set.

Just searched again loads of hits to this thread and by the bottom of the 3rd page the results are back to 2007.

It's as if search is excluding a period from September 2020 until the start of this thread.

Searched display relevance first and it's not there.

I have limited the forum Search to last six months in case there were too many results and it's not there.

Also limited the search to last three months and it's no there, plenty back to this thread it even picks up the title in a message I posted earlier.

It is just refusing to display for me for no obvious reason that I can see.

Oh well the vaguries of forum search
