Hi

I'm single handed heading for The Wolverhampton Flight.

Is there anywhere safe to stop in the flight ?

Wondering about spreading the challenge over 2 days

I have singlehanded the flight in a 70ft boat. They are quick and easy locks. Took about 5 hours as I recall.

When I was younger, fitter and stupider I and a large efficient crew did the flight in 90 minutes, my muscles object to such attempts these days ?

Single handed the flight in both directions on several occasions. Around 3 to 4 hours or so typically for me. BCN locks generally have everything working and are very easy to use. Occasional low pound to deal with, but that is it for difficulties.

If you are going up then there is normally a CRT person checking the levels first thing, 7:30 - 8:00ish. The last couple of times we have gone up the CRT guy has set the lower half of the flight for us as he flushed water down.
