Movin' on
Hi, I need (but no rush) a mounting bracket for this Klaxon - any ideas - I understand there are many different types (of brackets that is not Klaxons)?? BEngo
KI think they are mainly made to suit both a particular horn and a particular job. That grooved spigot looks like the starting point : A collar over that, with a locating screw into the groove so the horn is removeable and that is the horn end done. Some sort of vertical shaft fitted to the collar tall enough to wind the handle without removing any knuckles, and a flange or spigot or socket at the base, depending on what you want to mount to. You could even do it all in brass, if yoh wanted something to polish.? Not a difficult job to make one, if you have the tools and materials. Do you know any model engineers local to you? They are usually up for something like this. N

You wouldn’t want it to rotate as you’re winding the handle, so the screw would need to locate in a dimple. Is there a dimple or hole that’s got something broken off in it that I can see in that photo?
koukouvagia
This is the best picture I could find of the bracket. As Nigel says, it wouldn't be difficult to make. Mine's brass/bronze. The stem of the klaxon is held in place with a wing nut on a bolt.
Movin' on
I seem to remember buying one from/through the forum last time but I can't find any reference to it........... They are out there somewhere in the form of a modern casting but still perfectly acceptable so I don't need to commission a one off............ Thanks

It was an old mushroom vent bolt, chopped the end off, tapped a 1/8 hole in the pumpout outlet...mount and fits just handsome.
