  3. Well worth visiting the National Space Centre and the adjacent pumping station museum both canalside in Leicester. Tim

  7. I find that hard to believe, we have taken Fulbourne (7ft wide) down the Nene many times sharing locks with other Narrowboats. Tim

  9. Buy a copy of Canal Boat or Waterways World, in the advertisement sections you will find hundreds of boats for sale, the brokers ads will give links to their web sites. Tim

  14. If you are not already a member join the HNBOC, their newsletter and e-mail list ofted advertise historic boats for sale/wanted. Tim
  15. One of my earliest canal holidays was with a large group of young(ish) beer loving lads on a Middlewich Boats boat (Oak). I'd be tempted to do the Cheshire Ring, plenty of pubs to visit and plenty of locks to sober you up! Tim
  16. GU boats are not getting away with anything, what we have done is educate BW as to how wide a narrow lock is. Tim
