  1. " Pedantic mode" I think you'll find it's crochet
  2. I found I couldn't charge a newly bought lecky toothbrush, thought it was faulty so exchanged for another but same problem - we have a sterling 1800w msw & a maplins 600w msw so deduced that it was the msw but then found that the Phillips diamond sonicare has a 12v charger (as well as usual 240v) it is expensive rrp £250 !! but got mine off Amazon for £75 ( a 'b' grade product but seems perfect) Worth every penny as I have a tendency to gum disease & have had no issues since using electric - & my teeth feel sooo clean Edited to add - I 1st heard about the Philips brush from Erin-Mae' s blog http://erin-mae.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/toothbrush.html

  7. Whilst on the subject, we have had a kerstan mini satellite dish for 8 years, still works fine but is a bit shabby & we thought we'd treat ourselves to a new one but on doing an Internet search found that the kerstan ones have been discontinued any suggestions for a replacement as can find bugger all on 'tinternet?
  8. A few years ago I was prescribed topomax, ( topiramate) it's an anticonvulsant but also prescribed for migraines which I was struggling with, within a few days I felt dreadful, crying & miserable for no good reason (I have never suffered from depression) also quite confused, spoke to GP & I came off them, I was back to normal within a few days This is from the contraindications, "Suicidal ideation and behaviour have been reported in patients treated with anti-epileptic agents in several indications. A meta-analysis of randomised placebo-controlled trials of AEDs has shown a small increased risk of suicidal ideation and behaviour. The mechanism of this risk is not known and the available data do not exclude the possibility of an increased risk for topiramate"

  17. Pru doesn't seem to be coping too well with the practicalities of boating & looks increasingly frail so can't see them making another series ? She did do brilliantly at the Shakespeare anniversary though?
  18. We have just taken 2 flexible panels off our roof, they have been on 6 years, not easy to get off & found quite a lot of rust underneath Spent most of yesterday angle grinding rust off & treating with vactan. Got 2 weeks to get it undercoated & painted before Tim from Onboard Solar fits a new system for us. I could never now recommend stick on flexible after our experience - of course it could have been the way we fitted them that allowed the rust to form but we followed instructions & thought we'd done a good job at the time.
