  1. not a bad Birthday very hot and relaxing lol

  2. What a hot few days. I have have spent a lot of the time in gardening .6 hours Friday then Saturday bowling followed by weeding in Highbury Orchard .This weather is much to hot to work in really . Still in doubt it will last for to long.

  3. As far as i am aware, you can take anyones photo and publish it but people like profession models in a photo shoot have to sign a release form for the photos to be published as the make there living that way. Most structures can be photographed and published without permission but i believe there are a few iconic buildings now that require a copyright release to be published. That at least is my understanding last time i looked into it, moral scruples aside.
  4. Kindle additions ?LOL been warned about book space
  5. mr hoggs product that has the ken keys notebook on it,also has some information on decoration for boats
  6. Down to a price not up to quality output. It is the thinking of this country in general.
  7. well i got 13 in bowls playing a fast small green against a county player .I was lucky i guess 13times LOL. or as a dropped first team player said 'i had one good bowl then went to pieces' mind you i scored his game and cannot remember his score and had to nudge the other teams scorer to check the score and update him as he was watching another game..i enjoyed the game. and over the 2 legs scored 34 points 21 at home and and 13 away so not to bad. The planting of the wildflower belt at High...

  8. Small steps i suppose .if this is done then at least the information is stored safely not crumbling to dust somewhere. once that is safe the collection can then be refined and corrected.if this new archive has comments available then the experts can hopefully calling any inaccuracies.
  9. After great match well played by everyone in warm weather our team lost by a very few points to our opposition .i was lucky enough to win 21 -20 after 31 ends. All in all a very nice day.

  10. Or take a leaf out of the victorians book of inventiveness and design a whole new lift on the plane of the old. The millennium dome proved how little Britain has done in the resent past. That is probably a whole different can of worms . If a site is popular will it be any more popular by an additional tourist attraction.? A bit like sending the remains of sending richard the thirds remains to York where it can be lost amongst all the other attractions rather than being left in Leicester where he has been for the past few centuaries and may bring people to a less visited place. Don't gild the lilly and just maintain as is
  11. raining still LOL. but it is good for the garden and i noticed that there is another shoot on the one bamboo and several on a different one in a pot.I am easily pleased lol. and it caused the cancellation of a cup bowels match so even better. After being insulted the last time you just think why bother. Never mind

  12. the clematis and honeysuckle are growing away strongly as well and the sempavinum? [House leek] are doing well so we are safe from lightening strikes and witchcraft

  13. cheers for posting that. i enjoyed watching it,great seeing some of the monuments as they were then
  14. After all that you still help people out more power to you.
  15. Looks great.not sure that all the goings on would be allowed today.Heath and safety wise
  16. Very scary . I think you were perfectly justified in arming yourself as he had shown willing to hurt you from a distance throwing stones and sticks i would imagine counts as assult and his companion not interveing is just as reprehensible.might add weight to things if you also photograph any damage caused to your boat as well. Hope thing go well from now on.
  17. millions of people have signed a pet ion to stop the use of neonicatinoids in the EU 8 countries voted against the ban including Britons representative shame on him despite the 80 thousand e mails he got asking him to vote for it,thank god the rest voted for it with 5 abstentions . unfortunately it now goes to the commission to decide.

  18. I probably mislead you by saying Victorian era these were taken probably just after the first world war if 1920s is the date they were taken.I was really thinking about the the sparsety of decoration and furneture that there is shown.Non of the lace and decorated plates of the other narrowboat pictures.
  19. When they rejigged the bus routs they stoped most of the Buses that go through Aston to go along the expressway. but you can walk up gravely hill to where Kingsbury road joins the route to sixways there is a stop by the crossing that the buses 904 and one or 2 of the other buses go to the town centre.
  20. It looks less cherfull than the last set of canal photoes. Probably less rose tinted, but very interesting.Mind you i find alot of the Victorian era photoes a tad lacking in smiles and joviality.
  21. If it is the sutton coldfield in Birmingham then the cross city rail line takes you to pretty much the high street. but i do not think any canals run that close to sutton town centre.
  22. perhaps it is because the other one has been cut up a bit.Interesting that just 10 foot of historic boat was thought worthy of being used as the bows of a new boat.I applord the recycling of it and always gives the opportunity to reunite the 2 bits.
  23. so this is the FMC lynx that is unconverted?
  24. yes 10 out of ten for caring about animals minus 2000 for there actions the introduction of foreign animals into the various countries has seldom been to the advantage to native species.
