  2. Just try getting Nitric Acid, I used to buy it in VERY small quantities at a chemist, for etching metal. Even the fumes etched metal. Then the bomber makers started using it
  3. I think that graffiti is a catch all word for different things. There are Bankseis, murials, criptic, humour and vandalism.

  7. First time I did it it was easy, I steered my wife worked the lock, no problem. Mind you, we had often been passing orton lock when walking the dog and help other people through.
  8. I worked in Perkins for years and never made any parts for obsolete engines. At the end of any production run a couple of thousand parts were produced for stock and when they run out you've had it. Unless they have a spare parts plant I didn't know about in case any millionairs needed a bit for an old engine.

  11. Nimonic comes in a number of diferant grades, and they are all a pig to work with.
  12. I have a Dremel 4000 in the workshop. It will easily cut metal with the cutting wheel. One of the jobs I use it for is cutting up to 12mm square HSS tool blanks . I even made an atatchment to fit it on to the lathe to use it as a grinder (to grind true the jaws on a three jaw chuck).

  14. I use a Wickes one in the workshop, picks up wood shavings and metal swarfe, also cleans out the oil and cuttings from the lathe bed and the milling machine table so a few flakes of rust should be no problem (if they are small enough to go up the tube.)
