  2. Thats a shame to the forums loss - followed him since he first joined - enjoyed all his posts, i had offered to help him if he ever needed it on the wolverhampton locks, - what other channel or isnt it allowed to be mentioned?
  3. off topic but wondered if Junior was ok i used to enjoy his observations and stories and havnt seen him on here for some time?
  4. a good anti rust paint then a coat of thick grease - never rust again

  6. good reply - but shame members couldnt respect others and keep it civil, - will be interesting to see how the forum developes - i am on a few forums that have all declined except one which i am a mod on - its stronger than ever, mostly because all the members police it themselves to an extent - its free to chat about anything yet the main subject is still top.
  7. ironic really that a ban had to implemented to get to a point where a debate could again take place - a ban was needed to get rid of the trouble makers - the forum went right down hill and i also nearly didnt come back - but of late i have started to enjoy it again. - good work Team.
  8. the local farm shop at Norton Canes usually stocks a few
  9. will follow this thread with interest - just hope the hull is ok as thats alot of work but well worth it. hope you recover quickley
  10. most CV's i get arnt worth the paper they are written on but look great untill you meet the person, i would of thought you would select on dedication to the forum, friendship, reliability and forum / Canal experience, all can be seen in the postings they have made on here. but most of all someone that is friendly and get on with members someone to be respected,
  11. first thing thats made me smile on here for ages .

  17. nice to see a good herb garden the boat looks great
  18. now thats looking smart
  19. it wouldnt take up much room you could attach a funel on the inside the kitchen sink cupboard door, a length of flexable hose into a T connector on the sink waste outlet - job done
  20. The frame sounds good - i would use 30mm Stainless tube then clad to provide the upturn to contain the tank, hmmm when fish float do they weigh less than when they sink?
  21. the strength of the frame will be in its structure and not all down to material thickness, as mentioned if in steel it may need a floor frame to spread the load not just feet. if i were making it i would put solid sides on to make them rigid, this is why they usually have cupboards under to create hidden strength.
  22. best fasteners place around is - Fasteners Midlands in Cannock.
  23. Thank you for sharing - hope everything goes ok with the work, - just a little concern - i know a chap that had one of those lifting straps break so i would double up to make sure, its not a nice feeling to see your engine 6 ft from its habitat dangling on a single eye, bet you were pleased to see it touchdown.
