  1. We replaced the Squirrel on our boat IKE last year from Swindlers, they gave us a discount as we bought everything from the floor up and it still cost us over £1,000.00. A friend of mine then told me of this place, http://www.woodburningstoveslimited.com/ loads cheaper and a bigger choice. Our other boat Juno needs a new stove too, guess who I'll be using - and delivery is only £35.00 !!!

  3. And I thought it was just me that couldnt read them !!! what a relief.
  4. I turned into the Droitwich from the Worcs/Birm, grounded on approach to the lock, wedged in the entrance to the lock !! So I backed out and carried on down the W/Birm. So far CART have helped me through 5 locks, the locks arnt a problem, the exits are !! I keep getting stuck !!! I now have the one guy from CART's phone No. on speed dial, sound bloke !!! Hopefully tomorrow, I'll reach the Severn !!!!!
  5. The pounds nearly always low there. You could have knocked on the door of the house by the lock and asked Pete for his post code, I'm sure he would have given it you.
  6. So I, along with everyone else that lives on a boat, is classed by you as a vunerable person on the fringes of society ????? Well thank you for the generalization !!!
  7. Waterscape doesnt give a draft depth for the canal, so,I found this site and on there it definately said 2ft 6ins : http://www.worcs.com/DWPMT/default.htm Thanks to all . Roy.
  8. Hi, can anyone tell me if lock 4 on the Worcester/ Birmingham has been sorted yet??? I had an email from Waterscape on the 10th saying it was being dewatered etc. for inspection - but nothing since ! I can't go down the Doitwich as the draft is only 2ft6ins and my draft is 2ft10ins......
  9. I take it the hull survey was done without removing any blacking, but by those figures, the hull seems thick enough to me. The hull sides are normally either 6mm or 8mm thick originally , so its not bad, in my opinion.
  10. Nice Pictures, not often you get to see that !

  12. We used to fill our Chrysler Grand Voyager up and it used to cost us £90.00, sometimes twice a week !! Just depends how much driving was done. Same as with our boats, we fill them up when we need to, today, I put another £80.00 in the tanks, that should last me around 3 or 4 days, then I'll fill her again, probably around the amountmount, so I can bomb it down the Severn when I get there !!! It all depend how much you use your boat, what speed you'll be doing and how efficient your engine is. Its a "suck it and see" situation.
  13. Oh dear, the enemy will smell them a mile away !
  14. I agree with the OP, its very annoying. Some lock moorings are hard enough to get in on at the best of times and having a boat near them, let alone on them !!! IMHO.
  15. They should have filmed it yesterday then , it was boiling when I chugged through there !
  16. Theres always Aldersley Stadium car park, it has CCTV and its free.... Roy.
  17. It might help if someone pulled the plug in the sink...
