Both main arteries from Skipton south are closed. The Keighley road and the Ilkley road from daft o'clock. It maybe me but Skipton seems to be getting full already. Behind the Rendezvous hotel ( nowhere near the route) to Snaygill has about 8 boats moored already. Quite a few are unfamiliar boats. This weekend I noticed about 6 boats on the move which were outsiders. That is boats with Birmingham and other southern cities/towns sign written on them. Oh dont rub it in! Lol

What about the folk who let their dogs run on the towpath, while they chug along on the cut. Very irresponsible, owt can happen to that dog.

We will be heading over the summit and down the Wigan. Around Manchester and down the Macc to the Ashby canal. Apart from the obvious Wigan fright any things to look out for. Good or bad! Spelt Golding wrong I know.

Granary Wharf is good. Only down side its below Leeds Train station as its under the dark arches nearly. The Hop is in the arches next to the moorings. One of the best pubs in Leeds I reckon.

Last dead animal I saw in the canal was my first wife. Oops. Ive said too much. I loved that rug.

Check ebay or other auction/selling sites for your items. I know someone who got some of their stuff back this way.

Could you have accidently dropped them in the cut on the way back? Have you a magnet? Do some fishing off the bridge for an hour or so. If you didnt drop them in maybe someone else did. When you do find them or replace them. Get a big float attached.

Theres loads of poly tunnel paint sheds about. Thats still the same. Paint will still enter the canal. What about when CaRT paint the lock gates? Same difference. Kitchen sink. Dirty gits! While in the shower is safer, or when in a lock.

Oh for flips sake. What a wazark! I blame the other half. Just checked the route, after been told by someone else its not off where I was told.
