Hello, apologies if this question has already been asked, I've had a good trawl through the pages already though..

Basically, I need to know, what is the proper use of the leisure battery isolator switch? I'm on shore power currently.

Thanks!

Depends on your useage? I never turn mine off but I suppose hobby boaters turn theirs off sometimes when the boat is left unattended? You need yours switched on even on shore power for 12 volt lights etc whilst aboard.

I always turn both my isolators off when I go home but they stay on all the time I am on the boat unless I am doing electrical work. When living on the boat and we go out for the day they stay on because in winter we may want to leave the central heating on with the thermostat turned down low and we have a 12V fridge that we would not want to stop working..
