Multi Fuel Stove Glass

Hi

My boatman multi fuel stove glass has fallen  off the door (not broken) and I am wondering what glue/adhesive to use to put it back on safely. Heat resistant? Any recommendations?

Boatman stove glass? Mine is held in by screws and clips that hold both the rope and glass.

You probably need new rope and glue, and it is possible that the clips and screws may have failed. I made new clips out of some thin sheet metal I had lying around, and just used some screws that fit.

So is mine. 

 

My glass has cracked and a new glass comes complete with new clips and rope seal IIRC. Not a five minute or easy job to fit though.

Only if you buy it from Eddie I think. 

 

I've bought mine from Midland Chandlers for the last few years as we are CCer so nowhere to deliver to. The clips gradually disintegrated over the years. First I replaced them with penny washers but 18 months ago cut 2 steel strips and drilled holes in them to mate with the original holes in the door. They are M3 so invest in a tap of that size to clean them out every time you replace the glass.

If you invest in a tap, surely, tap washers would be better than penny washers
