Diesel spill at Apperley Bridge?

Just heard that they may be a diesel spill at Apperley Bridge, about 20-40 litres worth.   Anyone heard owlt?

Travelled from Leeds to Rodley today, the lock keepers at the staircase locks below Rodley said something to us about it and there was some environment agency staff on site. They were considering if they needed to close the canal or not or use some movable booms and I have not received any emails from the stoppages service. If it is travelling downstream it has not got to us. I will see tomorrow morning.

We came through Apperley Bridge this afternoon didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Moored at Rodley looks OK here too

Of course there's Apperley Bridge and then there's Appley Bridge........

There was a comment on Facebook. Definitely Apperley Bridge.
