Can't Get Hot Water

Update on this : Problem solved with replacement of the mixer valve. Purchased a new one from Mack Engineering and fitted easily. Looking at the failed valve, the centre that is supposed to slide has stuck solid. Looks like limescale-like deposits inside.

And thank you for posting back with the update and the solution  So often people try to help, but never get to hear if any of there advice was useful.

(And of course, it is nice to know I was right about something! :))

It might be worth soaking the old one in Cillit Bang and maybe revive it to become a spare.
