Indeed. The bulk of the money has come from the DfT with the additional top up largely from internal BCC funds. Sustrans have had very little involvement in this.

Nevertheless, you can be sure of strong objections from Sustrans should there be any talk of chicanes or speed humps to slow cyclists.

It should not be seen as chicanes or speed humps to slow cyclists but more as allowing for all groups to have an appropriate enviornment in which to enjoy the space together safely.

 

I am sure Sustrans would not object on safety grounds.
