Thank you too! I'm already learning a lot. I'm looking for a sailaway shell. wink.png

Some firms offer sailaways to various stages of completion, e.g. with electrical wiring installed, with the insulation sprayed on the inside walls, even with the walls panelled (often known as "sailaway plus" or similar). It's up to you, and perhaps your bank manager, what stage you choose. From memory, Cheshire Narrowboats in Lymm specialise in these, but others do them too.

Thank you. I guess I need electric, insulation, panelled walls, stove and toilet facilities including a shower.

Slightly off topic.....I know....

what's the bets way to get spray paint out of a babys eyes?

Why, have you just sprayed some into a baby's eyes? If so, should this not be a separate topic?

In answer to your second line, about 3 to 1 against.

When you say stove do you mean a stove for space heating or a stove for cooking. If the former you had better add the latter for use in the summer, that almost certainly implies a gas supply.

It's O.K., he was joking about the rivets.

Er, weren't you, Mr. Quinn?

Elixer, have a look at boatfitters' adverts for "Sailaway Plus" or "sailaway with additions" and you may get a better idea of who does what and for how much.

I would never joke about such serious matters...............

also, you may require a traditional mop, a cabin shaft an encyclopedia of watering cans and a harold shipman type beard or you will never fit in and may leave your self open to bullying and disdainfull glances from those in the know.
