Timx
Hi, having bought a nb before selling my GRP, anyone have any tips, I don't want to stick it in a broker unless have to, but what's the pros and cons, most seem to ad on appollo duck, How does that work to do it yourself?, probably not best time to sell, but with new boat , I am wasting money keeping the grp. Any advice/costs welcomed, Thanks.

Murflynn
AD worked for me. PS: as an ex yogurt pot owner I'm really surprised that you apparently have no tolerance for boaters who might wish to travel a bit faster than you. Athy
I would say that it's the ideal time of year to sell a boat - temperature rising, days lengthening, visions of idyllic days afloat increasing...I hope I'm right.
The Bagdad Boatman (waits)
Clean and polish the boat Kerb appeal is what to aim for.
Claude
Is advertising on the Duck still free? If so then it's a no-brainer. However, if you have the boat with a broker and then end up selling it yourself is there any issue?
Ange
For us valuing the boat is the tricky bit - that's where we think we need a broker.
whitty1
For us valuing the boat is the tricky bit - that's where we think we need a broker. This. If we'd put ours on AD we would have put it up for over 5k less than we *accepted* at the brokers! We underestimated the market and because we knew all the bits we hadn't got done since we bought it, we took those into account and worked back from that price. In actuality we got exactly what we paid for it.
