Split matress

Been toying with ideas for my bedroom as it needs re-fitting.

 

Was going to block the front door off with a small window big enough to climb out of in emergencies and have the bed up against the front wall, but i think it might be better to have a bed going across the boat, one of those split ones that you put the bottom couple of feet up when required.

 

Problem is, i cant seem to find any sellers of the split mattress's

 

Anyone have any links or contact details for someone who does them please?

Found a few suppliers, a lot of them though seem to be geared towards luxury yachts, which makes my wallet twitch!

Just buy some foam and cover it. Or if you already have a foam mattress, cut it in two.

 

If you are the delicate sort, get memory foam.

Got mine from a place in Yorkshire called apollo beds got the name off some one on this site cost @250 and is comfy try doing a search on the site to see what pops up

Do they do split ones?

 

I might just get a normal one and climb over the bed, see how it goes for a while.

Yes they did mine is a standard width split on the length if that makes sense

I can not remember the name of the place that made my split mattress - but I will try to find it - but there a few places that sell 'cut to size' foam matress with a memory foam topper and they are much cheaper than the boaty places.

Try putting "foam mattress" "cut to size" topper into Google.

I spoke with them yesterday... they'll do either split or spilt folding using the top pad as a hinge... 4'6 by 4 and 4'6 by 2'3 for anywhere between 300-600 quid which doesn't seem bad at all.
