How to identify Fat Boats

I spotted a purple wide boat lurking in Littleborough yesterday.

(No signs of life aboard though)

Yup, that's definitely one!

I've definitely seen purple narrowboats though, so I'm not convinced by that identifier. There must be more to it.

They are normally the ones that have multiple chimneys as they have so much space to heat up some in purple but available in other colours
