Guessing you have no other indicator. In the absence of that it is usually one of three things, IMHO:-

Battery issue

Alternator issue

Connection to/at fridge issue

Resolution is to have the items tested starting with most likely. Do not presume batteries are kaput investigate, much cheaper than replacing

I would guess the dashing red light would indicate that the battery voltage is too low . Now some questions, what size is your battery bank, what is your charging regime, how do you monitor your battery bank and what else is drawing power from your battery bank.

If you have failed to charge sufficiently this may be your problem and the fact that the under voltage light is flashing does not necessarily mean you need to start replacing batteries, you should do a power audit to ascertain how much you are using. Come back wth a bit more info please.

If it's a Shoreline fridge, a single flash every 4-5 seconds is a low voltage warning, and it switches itself off.

We've had this a few times first thing in the morning.

Here's the tech manual if it's any use.

First checks would be battery SOC, it may be 'flat' through lack of charging or over use.

Then all connections between fridge and batteries, they may be loose, dirty or both.

Check voltage at fridge compared to that at the battery terminals, hopefully it is the same or as near as.

After that it gets 'technical'. wink.png
