Wall covering bathroom

Have got very fed up of tongue and grooving having fitted most of the boat out in it. I have purchased pvc laminate dumalock panels for behind the shower but am undecided what to do with the other wall finishes- paint? Someone suggested laminate floor covering pasted to the walls? Not really sure what to go with but it will need to be wipe clean and moisture resistant.

 

Any suggestion?

The xternal wall has only 8mm ply above gunwhale on it I would have thought ceramic tiles would be too heavy and not cope with any flexibility, hence looking for alternative. A

Nekan tiles. Light weight and very easy to put up

Interlocking PVC planking - very light, waterproof and cheap, as well as being available in a variety of colours and styles. Sticks or screws invisibly to the timber bulkheads. Try a specialist kitchen wholesaler.

I just went into one of those upvc suppliers that sell to the trade, and I have the tongue and groove plastic with a tile effect finish, as long as you line up the joints of each panel, it's hard to tell its not tiled, takes a fraction of the time, costs a fraction of the cost, weighs almost nothin and just sticks on with silcoflex

Vinyl floor covering is excellent for bathroom walls and there is a good range of patterns available including tile effect.
