You can request for the levels to be changed in some places on the levels. I did that at Upwell (?) bridge years ago and they switched the pump on lowered the water so i could go under with the flowerpots on the roof...

No, Constable was from Suffolk, and this work is in mud or other non-permanent material, and thus of recent provenance.

I've had a bit of a Google to look for the artist, and have a theory: Step forward "Landscape painter Elizabeth Fitzgerald Carter" mentioned here:

http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/artists_join_forces_to_launch_downham_denver_and_ryston_art_trail_1_3614096

She's local, and the article quotes her:

Mrs Fitzgerald Carter said: “There’s a lot happening in the arts community in West Norfolk but it’s quite hidden - people are on their own, working in their studios.

“It’s such an isolated profession. The experience of meeting people you’re selling to is absolutely marvellous.”

It would appear she has followed her own advice and got out more, but I think the waterways authority may object if she tries to sell their sluice gate.

She's on the left in the picture in the article; has anyone noticed this woman clambering over that sluice gate covered in mud?

I can see quite a nice picture hanging just below the gates, appears to be of a narrow boat and is obviously by quite an accomplished painter as it is very accurate.

OH! WOW! That's so good!!! I thought it was real!!!!
