Good job I'm skint or the idea of buing the whole plot and setting up a housing project with combined heat & power diesel madness system would be on.

I have some sympathy with that complaint, but I guess there's a limited demand for obsolete diesel pumping equipment in situ, even in fenland.

 

The Prickwillow museum has a good representative collection of pumping engines in running order. Worth a visit, especially on engine running day.

As it stands, they are being sold for far less than the scrap value. Even at the £500 that the developer wants, I would have thought they will go for scrap
