wilderness boats website is good, it looks amazing what they manage to fit in those little things

get some large pieces of carboard and mock ya boat design up..cooker,fride,settee blar blar blar..sounds daft but you can make bulk heads up and see what it looks like..and get the boat inch perfect

You can 'build' your own narrowboat using various modules of various sizes and then print it out. Quite a good 'toy'

Have a look at the Waterways World site for info on planning. If you are still not sure if the plan will work you could always resort to putting in a few bulkheads and "furnishings" made of insulation board to try it out in 3D.

I thought so - and - it showed the wife that she couldnt fit everything she wanted in a 57 footer.

It depends who the cabins are for.....I managed to divide a 10ft space into two for my two teenage boys. I have a 50ft boat. I didn't manage a dedicated bedroom for myself though....sofa bed in the saloon. I can dig out photos if they would be any help. I used a 3d plan/model made out of cereal boxes, which unfortunately I don't have anymore as they got sat on.

Visit Andy Burnett's web site, he does some nice boat drawings as I am sure many other brokers do.
