Thanks all.

 

Whe I fitted my little Wenlock Midland told me to use a reducer to take the flue down to 4".

 

Did they say why?

 

the larger rings in the links above are 121mm and 120mm respecively, which is 4.75 inches. Perhaps that's why...?

I don't recall a specific reason but they said it was a common thing to do - hence the reason they had the reducer in stock.

 

The stoves been in use for over 4 years and I have no trouble whatsoever either lighting it or keeping it going overnight - they're great little stoves. :lol:
