Hi, are you selling your boat ? I think I have seen it on Apollo duck and have been trying to contact you through that site but have had no response, sorry if iit is not you.

  2. The run from my water tank skin to my pump is a length of garden hose with jubilee clips. Anyone know the best way to fit a stopcock? I've googled but nothing obvious. Thanks.
  3. Anybody ever painted a boat with it? This stuff claims to be primer, undercoat and gloss in one. If something seems too good to be true it usually is. Any thoughts?
  4. Fantastic. Thank you both.
  5. I don't suppose anyone knows the part number...? Thanks.
  6. Thanks guys. Will check that out.
  7. Ouch. The Sterling one is 400 notes and as you say, 5-600 for a 60A victron. Blimey. Why are the 24v ones double the price of 12v? I really can't stretch to half a grand for a battery charger.
  8. Hi there, I'm trying to find a decent 24v battery charger for my domestic bank that I can run off my genny. I've done a search on this forum and on Google, but can't find anything over 15A in 24v. Victron do a 15A, C-Tek do a 14A and Numax do a 12A. Anyone got any ideas/recommendations? Thanks.
  9. Well I'm not going to bicker about it. I think if there was a front loading cassette toilet on the market, boaters would buy it.
  10. Sorry, not sure what you mean? The only place my bog can go is against the hull. It might just about fit against the wall which backs onto the cooker at a pinch. Once plumbed in there's just no way for me to get at the back of a cassette toilet. I think this likely to be true for many boaters.
  11. Indeed. Unfortunately "out the back" for me means through the hull. True, but given the thousands of Portapottis installed in boats I'm sure Thetford are aware of the market. Thinking about it, you can get a floor plate for the new Excellence specifically designed to secure it to boat floors, so they know we're buying. I guess it's a matter of scale - they have a small range & it must cost a lot to launch a new design. But I reckon it would be worth their while. Especially if they marketed it as a boat toilet. A ceramic bowl would be a great idea too... Had a look. They do a flash-looking cassette with a ceramic bowl, but it's a rear-access job.
  12. Aha. I've found it online. That looks in amazing condition for a Victorian stove. If I had the readies right now I'd be sorely tempted by that...
  13. With a ceramic bowl would be even better. Thanks. Hopefully that means there really is one out there...
  14. Whoah! Look at that bad boy! Might have to look into one of those - that is proper tidy. Is it a replica?
