Received the January issue of the mag. this morning.. The highlight for me is the fantastic article written by Bones about her Rochdale Canal adventure in the Autumn, it is probably the best piece of it's kind I have ever read, it avoided every stereotype that is normally thrust upon us with with this type of travelogue.. Not a single rock throwing child, not a single whine about heavy gates and paddles, but did give a true flavour of that unique canal.

 

I'm only sorry that I was not available to give her and her chums a lift for a day or so.
