MC4 solar connectors convention?

MC4 connectors:
To connect solar panels to a solar charger the solar panel is in most cases fitted out with special waterproof connectors,
commonly these are MC4 connectors. These connectors come in 2 varieties, a male connector and a female connector. 
The male connector connects to the positive cable coming from the solar panel and the female connector connects to the
negative cable.

Thank you, that is the way I connect them. I thought it was the logical way, seems I was right.

Any MC4 connectors I have bought have plus and minus on them, I did buy a panel once that was wrongly connected, fortunately I always check

The positive to the positive cable works for me, but I know what you mean
