It's probably a similar set up to where I used to moor. The ransom strip was put up for sale so the landowner/moorings operator could buy it. Gets Cart out of any responsibility for bankside maintainence and gives them a lump sum as well.

It does however deprive them of any long term income from rental.

I would expect them to have entered into a mooring agreement with the purchaser as is common with offside 'freehold' mooring sites so a lower income would still be retained by CRT.

That's just a site plan. What, apart from the file title, makes you think CRT are selling it?

I do wonder why CRT are selling off all their assets...

 

Its like a haulage company selling their lorries to pay the mortgage each month, soon there is no lorries left to sell or to use to make a income.

 

 

Where does one find CRT land for sale btw?
