Between Derwent Mouth Lock 1 and Shardlow Lock 2 - Trent & Mersey Canal

CRT are saying they have had a dry start to the year. From memory I believe we had a very wet November and December 2022 and a wet January 2023.

Is there a historical shortage of water to the area?

If we have a dryish spring will they lock down the Trent and Mersey?

I would assume there is a hole somewhere as the Trent, Derwent and Soar were in flood and Derwent resovoir was very full until only about 3 1/2 weeks ago

If Stenson lock is closed is there a shortage of water travelling downstream. I have no idea if there are any other feeds between Stenson and Shardlow.

There would also be a problem with the other locks and pounds, Shardlow lock needs less water than Weston, Aston and Swarkestone Locks.
