PRM 260 slight oil leak

As title there seems to be a slight oil leak near the top of the box probably coming from the screw to the right of the picture attached. Can anyone tell me what that screw does, can it be simply removed and replaced with a new washer?

If I have the right screw it holds the top of the box onto the bottom. I would just undo it, fit a new washer and refit, maybe with a smear of Hylomar under the head and washer.

I would be surprised if that bolt was where the leak was.  Its more likely to be above that on the top covers and run down. It will collect in that recess.

I have recently had a similar problem with a PRM500 box. After cleaning everything the leak was actually from the top cover and running down the outside. I bought a set of gaskets and seals in preparation but retightened all the boats first to see if the leak would be cured and it has worked fine since.  The PRM 500 manual gives the required torque settings and I would assume the manual for your box would do the same. I suggest trying this before taking other action.
