vanboosh
Our back boiler pump has just died (perfect timing as its getting chilly, although thankfully not midwinter...) What do people recommend using? I've seen the solar pumps: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TS-Trade-Circulation-Silent-Coupler/dp/B07M7J72L6/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B07M7J72L6&psc=1 but will that do? The price seems too good to be true! Also, what should I refill the system with, as I can't see that its been fitted with a cut off valve, so will probably end up draining a bit of it before I can block the 'ole. I used a similar pump on our engine -> radiators heat exchanger system. Although we don’t live aboard, it’s had quite a lot of use over the past 8 years or so, still works fine. At that price you can buy two, keep one as a spare. Edited October 11, 2021 by nicknorman
Tony Brooks
Some users swear by 12V car coolant circulation pumps that run when the engine has been stopped to allow the hot parts of the engine to be cooled. Sorry, I don't have a ink.

These are the car type ones, also good and low cost. I ended up getting this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006ZFSDX0/ref=pe_27063361_485629781_TE_item and its been working fine (although I have another problem now) for anyone needing info in the future.
