Coal Prices in your area

Anything from £9 per 25kg bag Taybrite (up the river Wey last week) to £6.50 for Taybrite off Ghosty Hill working boat which works the Oxford canal. We did not pay the £9 as it is just robbery.

Heading back towards Warwick soon - can anyone recommend somewhere en route where we can buy some decent not-too-ash-tastic coal?

Keep an eye out for Mike Partridge on Jubilee - You'll often see him in that area. He passed me heading north this morning, Long Buckby tonight and Braunston tomorrow, so he should be up that way later on in the week.

It would be interesting to know the difference in coal prices around the network,

We pay here £7.30 for a 25k bag of Taybrite, South Oxford.

Depends on how much you buy and the timing. Always a big diff between summer and winter prices too. If you can buy a lot at a time it is generally cheaper. Think we paid around the £6 mark for Taybright 25kg, need to do the maths as we bought diesel at the same time and I need to find the receipt to work out what was what.
