Thats a lovely flight, possibly the best on the system.

 

Tomorrow I suggest you go back up to the top again, then back down, just for the delight of it.

P.S. As a new boater, a quiz question for you to think about. Given canal water is a scarce resource, how many lock-fulls of water would you be causing to run down the flight should you carry out my suggestion?

I agree, I thought it an engineering marvel, but sadly I find I must continue forward as much as I would like to revisit the experience (shuddering), I have absolutely no idea how much water, a lot
