    It seems a shame that it is very hard to find a reliable mechanic, I always think with RCR there is a way of a comeback if the work was wrong, very hard with some mechanics that are trading.

    The problem comes when you get to a boat that is moored, as happened to me in Birmingham and the cafe boat would not allow us to pass !!

    My oil change is every 100 hours and going by memory the gear box every 400 hours. But thanks for your advice, I will check my manual.

    I agree that removing the drain plug is the best way. I know what to do but I can't reach the plug . No problem emptying several times.
