  4. I used to go out with her daughter! She's a fantastic lady, very witty in the flesh and will help anyone. Not read the book though....
  5. Hilperton to bathampton could be tricky if they are not released till 3.30pm from the yard. I picked my boat up at 1pm, moored at limply stoke over night and still managed to reach Hanham lock by 4 the next day. To the op, as soon as you hit the river, open her up ABC hulls swim well at speed on flowing water
  6. Jump off your high horse before you fall off. Rules for breasting along sise me: Bring whiskey No laughter No idle chit chat Don't use your Tv No running of engine This is why its only luctor who moors against me, he follows the rules!
  7. We'll be putting Ours into semington early next year for blacking/survey and 4.5 cannon fitting, Liz and Ian are great. As for tweedle dum and tweedle dee at the boat yard.... Wouldnt let them tie my ropes let alone black my boat
  8. We had a galaxy for the local HEMS what was diesel and that thing went! I did prefer our petrol focuses for RRU work though
  9. Am on western end and can sort your light and horn out when needed
  10. Having had a closer look at the pics and zooming in, She is a Alvechurch build and I'd bet a bollock shes ex-hire fleet too, galley layout ect is a give away
  11. I've got a ex ABC tub and got it a lot less than they where asking for it. Didn't think my first offer would be accepted but it was. Was so happy I sharted in delight

  13. Alvechurch, there's a few down here, I don't think it made any difference to its fuel economy
  14. To be honest, a .22 air rifle is pretty useless against a human unless it was a very lucky/unlucky shot, mine are kept locked so I don't make a costly, pointless mistake in the heat of the moment. I have found chasing scrotes up the towpath in me boxers armed with a axe very effective in the past though

  16. That's how you move anyway, surely the "coming through" warning is 2 years late?

  19. BHG, go for it. You only live once and if your boat leaks and needs work and has no licence, being it down to the k&a. We'll make you welcome, we also have a decent enforcement officer who could help you with the paper work ect And reference a trade, we have had a hairdresser, somebody doing massage and a accountant, all working from boats. So it can be done
  20. Same here, Iolo and leb are great at what they do and ian/liz are massively helpful at semington. Glad to hear its sorted
