Hi folks , I am currently in the market for a mattress for our crossbed, needs to be a well made one ,but as always budget is important, Any recommendations for companies in the north midlands would be appreciated thanks.
Hi
I set my immersion heater to a medium setting (a small dial on top of the element) and leave it switched on when I am on shore power that way I have constant hot water , and as a bonus because the tank is under the bed it keeps that warm as well
Evening all
Well growing up on the banks of the Bridgewater in Manchester and having the surname of Yarwood it was only a matter of time , Always loved it and wont ever change it (until I am too infirm to hop aboard)
I have the same design (but with a trad stern) , engine bilge with two separate bilges "triangles" either side of it .The sides of these bilges are actually the hull (swims) so they do create a lot of condensation which in course collects in the bottom of the side bilges, may I just add that one of the outer sides houses my skin tank and collects just the same amount of condensation when compared to the opposite side (which has no skin tank) Nothing to worry about but it does tend to get you thinking "where the hell has that come from".
Hiya
Hunter , was moored in Overwater at Audlem last year , a few pontoons away from me. Tis a nice ship , am I correct in thinking she has a cylinder rudder?
Sorry I should of clarified the name , mine is a Great hayward boat. They do build boats, copied this off there web page.

Ps Great Heywood marina have a brokerage and sell second hand boats.
Mine has a Beta 43 , Haywood are good shells as for the Yamaha, havnt had any dealings with them so couldnt say. As I said the hulls are a nice shape and swim well with little wash. She still looks well and no sign of any corrosion when I had her out last year. Always get a survey I bought mine off "ebay" pending a survey ( it came in valued £12.000 more than I paid) and a clean bill of health.
Yours Stan.
I have a 2007 Haywood boat, owner fitout (not me)
No problems as yet been living aboard for 2 years and heavy cruising in the warmer months.
She handles well and I blacked her last year ,no real signs of corrosion or major pitting very pleased, and I got her at a lovely price. As far as I know there is no connection with Mike Haywood (but stand to be corrected) the shells are well finished and I would buy again.
Yours Stan.
Hi Chalky
I would say that the air flow in the cupboard is equal to being externally mounted , The actual unit is mounted vertical with the vents at the top/fan at the bottom also 2 large vents in the rear of the cupboard and 2 in the door .
Hi Chalky
Yeah the cupboard was built with vents in the rear , and vents on the door to aid air flow, in the near future the full set up is going to be relocated, as I am moving the battery bank and want the combi as near as poss. So I shall take all the suggestions onboard and seek out the ideal place. As it is at the moment seems ok the only time the fan comes on is when I first plug into a shoreline and the charger starts drawing alot of amps. Soon calms down within a hour or so.
Hiya Martin
Followed the same routine as I always do which is the same as yours , all power off when I connect ,Then make sure all 240v items are off before turning the combi on.
Cheers Stan.
Hiya
The unit is about 3 years old. Would of had a freebie if it were under 2 years old.
