Just to add , plugging your sterling combi into a non pure sine genny can be costly, I ran mine on one for approx 12 months until it went bang and cost £480 quid to be repaired by Mr sterling. He stated that it was the genny that had blown my combi. I now run off a Kippor 2.6 pure sine genny and have had no problems at all in the last few years.
Evening
Unfortunately I will be working on Monday , but my better half is around and has a good windlass at hand. She has offered help via facebook or you could PM me on here.
Stan.
Hiya Mike
I would be very surprised if your draft isnt a tad deeper than 2,5 , I know mine is .
P.s Hope the trip is going ok , we are due up that way at the start of October.
Looking forward to a few more in the morning , The dog is currently on fox patrol , I shall be sat on the bow with the trusty twelve bore again this evening to ensure the little darlings are safe and sound.
May I lay all your worries to rest and state that EGG LAYING has resumed and half a dozen have been tasted for breakfast this morning. I must admit that this CHICKEN SITTING is a easy life, I wonder if there could be a business to be had?
We passed this lass with her dogs on Saturday afternoon, just north of Hack locks heading towards Nantwich. My better half did have a chat and all seemed well.
Stan.
" A good slapping" lol I have no idea what you are trying to say, I am a very passive and soft natured mancunian (Now that would be a first) LOL .
Glad to see your getting settled and thanks again for the Kipor, catch ya for a pint soon.
Hi Mike
Your Kipor is still going strong and worked great all last year,I have just serviced it and have put it back to bed whilst we have the shoreline. Great little genny and works well with my set up , cheers for the sale. See ya soon mate take care.
Stan .
Hi Bruce
Just a quick query , did you just unbolt the centraflex and slide the shaft aft half inch and then re tighten the coupling ? Would like to do the same on my set up .
Hi Alan
Steve Heywood is a small hull builder based near little Heywood on the T&M , as I am aware he is not connected to Mike Heywood or any waterway publications .
Stan.
Good evening
My boat , A 60ft Steve Heywood shell has eight anodes ,two on the swims ,two on the bow and four recessed (two each side). I was once told that it was a trade mark of the said builder? well they do seem to be lasting well and no sign of major hull corrosion yet.
Stan.
I think the "Mike Christian trad shell" is a good looking boat for a really attractive price , If in the future I was to look for a replacement boat and fancied a new one it would be on my list.
Evening all
I was moored in the same marina as "charlie Beere" over the winter and have seen the boat under way on many occasions , I would say that it is a hydraulic set up. The owner was a member on here at on point but think he has gone adrift.
Hi Ally
Its a full crossbed mattress that I am after, it wont be used as seating just a full time bed. I want a 6ft x 6ft 3" which folds at one third across , so basically a small double with a 2ft add on .
Thanks Ally
I did see that one last week, looks a nice design, Our boat is liveaboard so EBC is looking like the favourite at the moment. Comfort is a must , just had the quote and my wallet aint very comfy.lol.
