  1. Thanks @Loddon - Id already found using that addy got me into the router again- shame it was after I had lobbed the sim and got a new one though 😀 Might give that Huactrl a bash see if it helps any..
  2. Its weird how it only really affects my EE sim (havent tried anyone else other than Three which has just expired so fingers crossed on the new sim when it arrives). Well actually bloody annoying because I chucked one £50 EE Sim away thinking it had either run out or was faulty 😀 Hope yours works better for you..
  3. Anyone else suffering with this ? Seems the Certificate is out of date (expired Nov16,22 ) despite having the latest version of firmware installed on Router. As well as connection problems this stops you accessing the router settings until you add it to your trusted sites. Until then you will get a redirection to hirouter.net Which is a real pain when you are trying to work out why you are not connecting to the internet. On my EE data sim, which is faster, I can connect to most of the internet on the laptop (Windows Updates,Google works but not Bing!) ,TV,phones but not the software update on the Router (times out) as well as all of my security cams and anything on Ewelink (heating, immersion etc). Very annoying as I bought the SIM specifically for that purpose. If I put my slower Three data Sim in however, which is slooow, I can instantly connect to everything. Except it takes ages. Even the router software update works and tells me I have the latest version. Checked and changed time settings etc but cannot get the EE sim to work properly-any ideas anyone?
  4. Im guessing (and being far removed in the Midlands it is only that) that unless there is some hidden damage to the pivot or locking mechanism its fine- just waiting for someone to actually take a look, put their arse on the line and say so. Either that or they have run out of tape so cant fix it 😀
  5. I was very underwhelmed by the damage. Excellent-be interested to see what you make off it. Did say CRT are due out for an 'inspection' next week- guess its all just a huge H&S issue..
  6. @Kendorr Yep am on that group and saw that post. Have a read of the Welcome to New Members post from 2 days ago- Im not mentioning names on here but reckon as coming from someone who moves boats about and is also there -he probably knows what he is talking about. Heres a screenshot of the damage.
  7. @Alway Swilby Have you seen this vid from Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/Narrowboat.incident.room/permalink/1172124026743666/
  8. Cheers- I passed her a few weeks ago as it happens- I dropped a boat in there. I refloated her a couple of times in the early 90's- she'd been abandoned (in the sense that the owner hadnt paid any moorings) -the then owner of the marina wanted to scrap her but gave her to me on the understanding that I removed her from the marina. I remember she had been fitted out with melamine and under for a while- I cant remember how long I spent removing mud & soggy chipboard . It reeked. And one very angry Mink that had claimed her as home.
  9. Very nice-I really want one with a windlass attachment so I can set ahead ..😀
  10. Probably not as it is both lacking a cylinder and about 20hp 😀 Has the same Sabb 2j as myself -we've both been waiting for a spare 2J for a good few years now.. Not a bad looking engine for someone though. Cheers.
  11. None of the brokers I deliver to have many boats (or hanging about for long)- and I havent noticed anything like 'January Sale' prices either 😀
  12. Hi, Sorry to hear that.Dont know what went wrong there- PM me your Facebook name and I will sort it for you asap. I am an 'standby admin' on that group for Chop (a fine fellow and Sabb owner) who actually runs it but havent recieved any notifications of anyone pending.
  13. Id try either Tuckeys (http://www.mjtcranes.co.uk/transport/tuckeys/ ) or Ray Bowern (www.bargemovers.com). If you are going to swing your boat about in the air and then send it down a road at high speed you may as well get someone who is guaranteed to be good at it 😀
  14. Id assumed the photos were probably taken at different times and the flue hadnt actually been fitted in that photo.
  15. @Liam usually knows whats going on that end..
  16. Apologies for being pedantic but unless my memory has got it totally wrong its actually 9ft. Wincham Wharf make the 9ft 'Pioneer' class widebeams so as they can just squeeze through - and having done it , it really is. Got wedged coming out of Dutton Stop Lock because the gate wouldnt open fully until another couple of boaters happened to turn up and helped by sitting on the gate and pushing it open at the same time. Quite a hard thing to do when you are single hander!
  17. Sleeman and Hawken will probably have them Cap below dipstick is for access for pumping out the engine oil .
  18. I only poked my nose in there and having had a clear run with no visits down the weed hatch bottled it and poled myself back out 😀
  19. Did you manage to get into it? Theres something in the entrance that lets you slide in easy enough but is a right git to pole back out again.
  20. Cant help with anyone in that area but RN Engines number is 01788578661- they may be able to help. You could also try Richard (Blackhands) Milligan 07973 826260 although it may be a bit far out for him -top bloke if you can get him there..
  21. You are correct-Its just to raise the compression ratio temporarily. My Sabb 2j is fitted with two and no other method of cold starting. Never needed to try it though to be fair.
  22. @lxs602 Theres still some manuals for your engine if it helps -available on the Sabb website - you should find one here https://www.frydenbo-industri.no/brukermanualer/fremdriftsmotor If you are on facebook , join the small but perfectly formed (and very friendly) Sabb Owners Group where you should find the manual in the Files section

  24. Ive noticed a few boats recently where the bulk of the the exhaust and silencer are mounted on the outside of the boat. OK, admittedly its not the most beautiful install but if you are on a tight budget its a sensible way to to get round any potential exhaust leaks.
