  3. I thought as much... after all, our old Reliant Robin was fiberglass and that seemed to survive anything...
  4. So for a while now I've been looking at boats, I've recently took a liking to small Shetland cruisers, but I've read so much about Steal boats crushing 'plastic' cruisers, just out of interest, has it ever, or how often does it happened? Adam

Sunday Morning... by NX4737, on Flickr Drayton Boat Services by NX4737, on Flickr The Boffit in the background looks as if it needs the blacking touched up in a few spots... Feel free to move if I've posted this in the wrong place! Adam
  15. Change happens, deal with it... It may fly over a couple of canals, but the way I see it, there's plenty of other beuty spots to enjoy, it's a shame, but that's just the way it is. Adam
  16. Thanks for that, I guessed Stoke Bruerne may have been slightly ambitious! Looks to be either Braunston or Hopwas then, either are nice! Adam.
  17. Morning all, just managed to get the week off work (I mean just, only just found out... gotta love working nights.) in March, so I'm hiring a boat from Ashby, Monday - Friday... Just wondering what cruising suggestions you had? I'm thinking Ashby to Hopwas and return, or at a push Ashby to Stoke Bruerne and return, I'm not affraid of long days cruising, infact I enjoy it! Hoping to move onto a boat in a couple of years when I'm in a position to make the move, so I'm trying to get a good feel for the canals as possible, thanks in advance... Adam Edit: I'm aware of Canalplan, so have put that to some use looking at different routes.
