hi
all seemed fine this morning there when i went, do you please know at all if there is any issues at claydon bottom lock, with thanks
not a chance nowt to do with me, if that goes down it stays down lol
thanks so much for that i feel a little better now, we did have a bilge pump out about 2 weeks ago but dont seem to have made much of a difference even though the bilge has such a tiny amount of water it, but thanks for the info thats brill
thats brill thank you that will be the first thing we check when we get there next week
we checked the water outlet and its above the water level so we thought the drain clear would be best as we can put a bucket underneath the hole, i cant add pictures at the min as i am not at the boat now till next week, thanks for the advice thats brill
hi, just found some paperwork on the boat it is a 1973 boat, we have had a very kind couple offer some batteries to us on this site which we are going to take there offer up. yes the front is very high on the boat and the water tank is in the front of that as you said, we dare not conect any battery life up yet as we have found quite a lot of proof of little fury visitors ( of which i hate) also that they have had a nibble at some electric wires (just what i need)so also need to get these safe before connecting power, also the people who were ment to be looking after the boat have blocked all the drainage up so they have had drain unblock put down to do the job (i hope )
thanks everyone for the advice im taking it all on board, wont be over till next weekend now, but emptied out what water i could from what i think was a inspection hole in the locker, but the hole only went down about 3 inches which didnt make much sence, so wondered if this could be there just to get at the water pipes or somethink else, although i took about 30 litre out ???
hi sorry it is a narrow boat not a widebeam, thanks for the advice
well a busy day at dads boat throwing more of his stuff away that is no longer any good yesturday, we seem to have a water problem in the hull of the boat leaning into the water at the front,
everythink is such a problem with the boat being so far away does anyone know if getting the boat towed to fenny compton is a good idea as it would be easier to access, but wondered if towing is easier said than done.
if anyone out there local to ayhno or fenny is no longer in need of any boat items that they wish to get rid of very cheaply could you please let me know.
well have a good day everyone
amy
in all respect i can say that in the end everyone has been very helpfull except for a few which i can live with after all this is life.
after spending a couple of years living on the boat i did learn that people are different, the boating people i think are the only community that in these days do look out for each other,
i understand people not being to sure about the post at the start and not wanting to say anythink, i think i didnt explain thinks to well due to the state i was in i just knew things were going to turn bad with the boat and again being a women i was right. haha
people have put posts saying sorry, i thank you for these but im not a person who bears a grudge we all have problems in our life.
i would not be put off coming onto the forum again, today ive managed to have a kick back to reality and realised that there are some people out there that care.
so thanks again and i will keep in touch
you are so kind thank you very much for your offer at the min we are empty all the rubbish and rotten furniture off the boat, but soon as we can see a bit of day light i may well take you up onj ur kind offer
thanks so much
beleive me being lazy does not come into it, i have 2 children under 5 , so i dont know the meaning of that word, i had 1 hr to find the boat when i get there as thats the time i have a baby sitter for, sorry i have other duties in my life
