  1. As I get older the more I realise how little I know In fact the more I learn the more I realise how little I know
  2. Yeah your right, google, starbucks, tringdean.
  3. Apart from your blood pressure, is this causing you any issues, does it negatively effect your life in some way?
  4. Not as often as i am, mind you I could be wrong about that
  5. West Kirby, you posh bugger, I used to dream about going to West Kirby as a kid. Or in fact going anywhere that wasn't Ellesmere Port
  6. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.

I imagine you're a man who fondly remembers the shower scene in American werewolf in London?
  10. Pah speak for yourself, I could still party all night, well maybe most of the night, well for an hour or two and anyway I like early nights
  11. And I might suggest various peeps crying loudly how unfair it all is will eventually mean there will come a time when there really arn't any liveaboards quietly getting on with their lives
  12. Dave, stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Dave. Will you stop Dave? Stop, Dave Sorry, just showing my age
  13. I have no idea how they compare to be honest but I am sure the comparisons are available on line somewhere.
  14. Coal or smokeless fuel and wood burning stoves are different beasts, basically wood stoves have no grate and coal stoves do. Multifuel stoves burn both but are a comprimise and not as efficient at burning either fuel, as far as I know you can buy the "eco" stoves in multifuel, coal and wood stoves
  15. If its bog standard oregon chain any decent dealer would be able to make one up Can I just make a geeky request to leave deadwood in the trees and not cut it out Ideally deadwood would be left on the ground and not burnt but I am pragmatic enough to understand how important keeping warm is
  16. If you want the dogs in pruning saws http://www.silkysaws.com Be very careful, after many years of using I have decided they demand a blood sacrifice everytime they are used
  17. Depends on how much you want to pay, Fiskars or felco come well recommend but sandvick or bulldog should be ok. Anvil, have one blade that presses down on an anvil Bypass have an action similar to scissors. Anvil are rather dependent on a sharp blade but tbh for rough branch foraging I would go bypass
  18. When was the last time you bought wood, plus scavenging wood in a city is not exactly as easy as it is on the towpath
  19. In effect you can't turn the stoves right down to slumber, plus they redirect the gasses/smoke back into the fire to burn off
  20. Good news about Jellico, I know my ex neighbours are happy to have a fuel boat service. Mark isn't routinely coming down the locks, although he deliver a load at summer prices whilst on his annual river trip
  21. ^^ this, I am a fan of coal boats, having never had one on my last mooring, pure luxury
  22. Just to make this clear I am no plumber but the fittings on this look exactly like the one I recently fitted. There is a cold feed into the bottom of the cauliflower and a tee off from that into the mixer at the top which should be the connection by the black thermostatic valve. The hot take off is the one running to the left at the back of the picture The forward bit of pipe work is the drain from the PRV As far as surecal is concerned the expansion bottle should be on the hot feed out and there is a NRV on this and the cold feed on the bottom inlet. Thats about the limit of my plumbing knowledge, I really don't like plumbing
