    You can get 12v twin tubs. Thosethatknow, say they are good. We have a 3kg Zanussi 240 volt auto machine.

    I bought one off Amazon a few months ago. To see how strong it is I stuck it on the boat side. Honestly I couldn’t get the Bloomin thing off without a load of wrestling with it. I’ll try and find a link to the sale. Couldn’t find the one I bought but just search ‘strong magnet’. Loads come up. The sea magnet seems popular.

    I was meaning both really. Perhaps gun crime isn’t all that common but knife crime is. Having said that, the shooting of black men isn’t all that common either in this country of ours. But once is too many.

    He isn’t and it was ages ago. Just goes to show though that whatever is being done to stop this isn’t working.

    About thirty years ago, he confessed this fairly recently, our eldest, with friends were driving along a major road near Portsmouth. They had toy guns and were pretending to shoot at cars. Not long afterwards they were pounced upon by a number of police cars and stopped. Some bobbies were armed. Frightened the lives out of them. No action taken apart from a lecture etc.

    As lads playing out in the fifties and sixties we we had sheaf knives in a leather pouch hung on a highly decorated studded belt. A status really. I have whittled a few sticks in my time I can tell yer. Didn’t even think of it as a form of defence.

    My lads a Butcher. He has knives in abundance. And he knows how to use them!!

    No need to carry poles with flags, just stay out of the way of a 15-20 ton boat.
